So this this has been rock solid for months now, and all the sudden one by one each device connected lost connection to internet. Using VPN I was able to get in a try to reboot it, after reboot, VPN access never restored. Now directly connected to SG1100 console port. I see a TON of Warnings concerning PHP startup unable to.... I am trying to restore the factory defaults, I have a good backup, but it does not take choice 4 (RESET TO FACTORY DEFAULTS). I can however get to SHELL (8). Just need assistance in getting this reset please. Thanks in advance.

Is there a way to reset to defaults via SHELL?

From the shell, the menu option of reset should resolve any issues, if that is not the case please open a ticket, to get firmware access.

You can get an image file from https://go.netgate.com

The reset button is a hardware reboot button.

@chrismacmahon thanks. Thankfully I had a good recent backup. Reinstalled pfsense via image provided by Netgate, restored backup back in business. Thank you
