Redirect youtube traffic to second wan
-
Hello guys!
I would like to redirect all my youtube connections to the second (wan) Link, is it possible to do that?
Is there any way to do this using pfBlockerNG? Or other packages ?
Thx!!

Not impossible but very difficult. As Google like many other utilizes big CDN networks with many AS/IP ranges, it's extremely tricky to create an Alias or List to include all possible addresses for Youtube streaming. Possible outcome is that you'll either not get any YT links to go through WAN2 or you'll end up with much more than only YT going out WAN2 as other services often utilize the same IPs/streaming services.

You could either try and get all Google/Alphabet AS networks or find a list of IP ranges from them. Other than that... well it's difficult.

AS/IP
Ok, i imagine something like that.
Also, is it possible to limited my bandwidth network to youtube ?
Thx. -
Same answer I'm afraid as youtube is mostly streaming traffic to default web ports (https) and the IPs for traffic limiter etc. have the same limitations then for policy based routing (what you'd use for channeling sepcific traffic out of WAN2).

@JeGr
Ok JeGr, thanks!! -
One possibility would to be use IPS/IDS and use the Snort package to detect youtube and then enforce a gateway to use.
Have a bit of a google on using Snort and detecting youtube.

@nzkiwi68
Yeah, acctually i'll do something different, i'll just limit my band per Ip User.Thanks Guys!!!

@jonnetg I'm doing the same, it just better to limit all traffic as most websites don't need that much bandwidth.
It's almost impossible to create an aliase for YouTube.
i managed to do it but sooner or later the ips will change.
