i'm trying to install pf2.4.4, via VGA Memstick installer. The installation, i've followed as per https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/install/installing-pfsense.html correctly. The installation is all correct and in the last step of "Installation complete. Would you like to reboot into installed system" , when i press REboot it again prompts to install from USB !!

I've ensured, that HDD is higher in the BIOS boot order.
If I remove the USB, it says "No bootable device found".

So not sure where the installation and the files were written during the installation process? I've created the disk as per the default settings as prompted by pfSense. I use SSD and is 64GB in size . BIOS is UEFI.

How to check if pfsense has been installed correctly in the main disk? Is there any other thing to boot from HDD/SSD?

        Hi,

@getk said in pfSense reboot again to USB and not from HDD:

        BIOS is UEFI

My bets are on : de activate EUFI in the BIOS.
        Re install again.

        Btw :

Now the system must reboot so that pfSense may start from the target disk. Select Reboot and then press Enter. Be sure to remove the disc or USB memstick so that the system will not attempt to boot from there next time.

          Thanks for your reply.
But it seems the issue was related to BIOS and enabled secure boot ON
