    Trying to mount root from ufs:/dev/ufs/pfsense {ro}

      the full error message

      trying to mount root from ufs:/dev/ufs/pfsense {ro}
      g_vfs_done{}"da1{READ(offset=0, length=8192) error=6

      hardwares
      =mobo with intel 2550 pro
      =4NIC intel 82583V
      =SATA 2.5in STORAGE

      Iam getting the above error on the installation process

      • version 2.2.2 memstick full install
        =maybe a minute after the error message it will go to pfsense menu then i can choose option 99 and do the install
        =it will do a successful partitioning but not the formatting part and it will give the
        CAM STATUS: TIMEOUT
        =it will proceed anyway but after the installation it wont boot at all…just showing the F1 pfsense and keep looping

      FEW isolation done
      =replace the ssd with same one …no luck
      =replace ssd with msata...same result
      =install pfsense nanobsd version....NO PROBLEM at all….straight away install and WORKS fine

        Not enough specifics to say much here.

        Usually complaints about CAM timeouts and g_vfs_done mean a disk or controller issue. Could be the memstick, could be the target disk, could be that DMA needs shut off, etc.
