how to assign 2 IP from one subnet for 2 WAN interfaces
-
Hi All!
I try to describe my problem.
I have pfsense 2.4.4 with 3 ethenet cards:- LAN (192.168.0.0/24)
- WAN (assigned static IP like 99.44.55.57/24 (10 Mbit/s) curently main gateway for all traffic)
- WAN2 - try to assign new IP 99.44.55.123/24 (20 Mbit) to this new interface
Goal of the task: to divide the traffic between two WAN
WAN2 set to be default gateway for: www, mail, other services. etc
WAN1 set for only be VPN gateway for remote users & branches.I thought it would be easy to do, but I was wrong.
When adding a new address to the new WAN2 interface, pfsense show message indicates that the addresses of both gateways are on the same network.Dear Guru, please tell me how correctly solve this situation according to this conditions?

Lookup "LAGG" in the pfSense docs, and see if that's what you really want instead.

That would require cooperation from the ISP.
So does this.
Ask them for another subnet on your second WAN or you can't do what you are looking to do unless, maybe, they are PPPoE interfaces.

did just that, and it works fine.
