VLAN TRUN
-
Hello,
I have a Netgate XG-7100 running pfsense 2.4.4 p3, I would like to setup a VLAN trunking.
This is what I did:-
First, I created the different VLANs in the Vlan interface
-
Then I gave them tags
-
The different VLANs were then associated with the logical interfaces (all have the same parent interface)
-
Then I associated the switch ports with the VIDs of the VLANs
-
Finally, I assigned the ports to the VLANs as in the capture below.
The trunk is on port 8.
-
After activating the different dhcp, I did a test, I have no address in the trunk
Can Someone help me please
Thank you

What we can see there looks correct (or at least not wrong!) can we see the ports tab and main pfSense VLANs tab?
Unless you are not using those ports internally?

Ok that looks good other than none of the ports are currently connected.
How exactly did you test this? What did you see? What did you expect to see?

Thanks for your answer.
I tested it by connecting the trunk port to my laptop. I thought I could automatically get one of the network IP. Then I tried to fix one of the IP addresses of the different networks. But there was no traffic between my laptop and the switch. -
If you connect the trunk port (8) to a laptop the laptop should be connected to the LAN as an untagged device. If you have the default DHCP server running on LAN that is.
What DHCP did you enable here?
If you wanted to connect to VLAN 2, 3 or 4 you would need to connect the laptop to the untagged ports or configure the laptop NIC to be in the VLAN you need on port 8. Not all OSes/NICs will allow you to do that.

Ok Thanks,
Each of the Network has is own DHCP enable
I am going to apply your advices. And will give you the feedback
