Unplugged WAN port kills webconfigurator and PHP-FPM
-
Hi all,
When I have a WAN port unplugged (in a multi-wan scenario - e.g. one wan goes down for an extended period and there is no carrier) - web configurator eventually stops working and I need to restart PHP-FPM from the console for it to start working again.
The only solution is to disable the wan interface. Wan interface is static IP4 (no DHCP), no IP6.
The syslog is filled with :
kernel arpresolve: can't allocate llinfo for <wan IP> on mvneta2
Any suggestions? This gets a bit annoying with remote sites, as it's difficult to manage the device when one of the WANs fail and we are running single WAN (but still have IPSEC connectivity). If we don't disable the WAN in time the the web config becomes unresponsive and we cannot access the device.

If it's mulitwan and one is still up you should be able to resolve over that. As long as you have setup servers on both WANs or you a gateway group set as the default gateway you should still have DNS.
