    Snort stops and wont start it service anymore

      This morning when i checked my snort i noticed that the services stop. I enabled it for WAN, OPT1, OPT2, OPT3, LAN interface. There is also crash report please see these pfsense-10-8-2019.txt Thank you.

        Looking at that crash report, it appears everything is crashing (clamd, squid, snort and other processes). I also saw seven Signal 10 bus errors which indicate a memory bus error occurred. That points to likely memory issues on your firewall. If you had ARM-based hardware, it could be software problems (unaligned access); but your boot-up information indicates an AMD64-based box, so the Signal 10 Bus Error messages are more indicative of memory failures. Search your crash dump log for "Signal 10" and you will see what I am talking about. I saw them for awk, clamd, php-fpm, and php-cgi.

            I recommend running a memory testing program such as memtest86 (see their web site here). You can boot that utility from a USB stick. There is a pay and free version. The free one should be fine for the testing you need.
