SG-1100 too bright leds
-
Hi mates,
I have installed the SG-1100 after a dead of my SG-1000 at home. Nice hardware.
I have it in the guests bedroom.
During the night its lights light the room as it were daylight!!!!
No chances to turn them down with a script?
I have tried to blur them on the top cover, but the light comes out from every hole.
I don't want to open it and cover the leds because it is still under warranty...
Any solution?
Thanks -

Looks like you can turn off the Status LED light, but that's it.

Exactly what I need!
Thanks! -
A black marker on the LED itself can make a huge difference as well if it comes down to that.

I also find the lights too bright the real problem is the amount that shines out the sides like the underglow from some teenagers civic. Here's what I did, take off the top and mask off the bottom of the 3 light pipes as well as masking around the outside of the vents to prevent overspray then paint the light pipes chrome with some flat black over them. Then dab some liquid electrical tape around each LED making a little rubber volcano. Put it back together with just a sticker over each light now as they are still too bright and it looks great.

@dscheive that is some mad scientist solution for sure ;) I have a keyboard where one of the leds was a bit bright for my liking.. I put a tiny piece of black ductape on it - all fixed, a few seconds to do..
