[SOLVED] Need to ignore DHCP offered default gateway
-
Scenario: pfSense is acting as a proxy between two networks, and for initial deployment, I need both LAN and WAN to be DHCP clients, but I only want to use the default gateway from the WAN side.
Is there any way to tell the DHCP agent on LAN i/f to ignore the default gateway (and DNS servers) offered by the DHCP server?

Replying to myself so that others can benefit...
Check Advanced Configuration under DHCP Client Configuration
In the Lease Requirements and Requests section, set the following Request options
subnet-mask, broadcast-address, time-offset, domain-name, domain-name-servers, interface-mtu
I specifically left out the Request optionrouters
so the Lease request will not contain that information, and therefore no default gateway will be received and used.
