Install ntopng conflict
-
Ok, it could be anything then. It's clearly pulled some packages from that 3rd party repo.... no clue what might have been broken.
You need to get a serial console cable and re-install clean.

@stephenw10 So you can't reinstall clean from the interface at all? Like i can access SSH..
Fuck. Then i need to flash stuff and everything, i bought it with pfSense on it. Nothing else we can try? Where do the logs show up for services not starting?

Errors would be in the system log. Try starting it from Status > Services and then checking the log.
You should really have access to the console anyway. If you ever get locked out of the GUI you will need it.
Are you running from CF card or SSD? You could potentially reinstall in something else and move the driver back.

@stephenw10 I'm no tech expert but i know the BIOS is very locked down and i have a CF card with pfSense that i saw inside and it's also a SSD disk in it.
It seems like nothing happens thats new in the system logs when i try to start it. This is my latest logs:

You could check to see if you have the same files/directories I have:

But really I would recommend you just don't install ntop-ng until you have re-intalled.

@stephenw10 Computer is broke and the serial cable might take some time to arrive.

@stephenw10 said in Install ntopng conflict:
/usr/local/share/ntopng/scripts/
You don't appear to have that. Which seems to agree with the error you have.
Apart from ntopng, what is broken?
I suggest you remove ntop-ng and concentrate on fixing whatever you need to until you can re-install.
Put the SSD in a laptop. Install pfSense to it. Enable serial console. Move it back. Win.
The does assume you have an em NIC in your laptop otherwise you would have to edit the config to match.Steve

@stephenw10 ntopng is the only thing's broken i think
