fix current time
-
I've already downloaded and updated my timezone on pfsense 2.4.2 but my current time is wrong. I've already reboot my pfsense too.
Anyone have an idea how to solve thus problem?
-
And how much is it off by? Are you syncing to ntp? What does the ntp status show?
This pfsense on hardware or a VM?
BTW - your not current.. You really should be on current 2.4.4p3
-
I'm using the address "pool.ntp.org" for ntp server. Is it correct?
My pfsense is on hardware.
Do you have any solution without upgrade the pfsense for the last version?
-
I've tried to adjust the timezone last week.
My ntp status:
-
Not saying that the update to current will fix your issue, but you should be current.
pool.ntp.org is fine - you have it marked as pool.. And again what does the status ntp show.. Does it show its syncing?
How much are you off by, few minutes, hours? Days?
edit: Well that shows your fine.. So if your off from what you think it should be I would assume timezone problem.
Why do you think you time is off?

In Brazil we have the daylight saving time and when I use the "date" command on Shell, show me the right time, but in the dashboard show me an hour ahead. Current time is wrong.
-
And what TZ are you set to in the general section? Brazil has what 4 different TZs
What is the output of your date cmd, what tz does it show?
-
I'm using the TZ America/Sao_Paulo.
After typing the date command show:
Mon Nov 11 15:28:50 -03 2019
It's correct. But in the dashboard show me 16:28:50.

Do
[2.4.4-RELEASE][admin@sg4860.local.lan]/root: date -u Mon Nov 11 18:34:28 UTC 2019 [2.4.4-RELEASE][admin@sg4860.local.lan]/root: date Mon Nov 11 12:34:31 CST 2019
Post the output

Something not right there.. less it took you like 8 minutes between doing the command ;)
-
Yes, anything is wrong.
I guess that the better solution is upgrade the pfsense.
-
Not sure of all the changes - but its quite possible there was some change to TZ info between your version and current, etc.. I would for sure update to current... And then if we find a problem with the TZ settings we can submit the problem.
-
Also, under System > General Setup, pick a Timezone with a geographic name close to you, do not pick GMT +/- offset type zone.
-
Also : your system is repaired now https://forum.netgate.com/topic/148033/php-error-timezone ?
-
Yes, this PHP problem has been solved.
Thanks for helping.
-
So now your time shows correct?
-
I've reboot my pfsense today and then the php is working.
-
Not what I asked exactly, but take that as a yes to your time is now showing correct everywhere ;)
-
Sorry, I've answered wrong.
Today, I'll try to change my time manually.
