I have a working network using a standard router that I want to leave alone while I setup Pfsense.
Whats the best way? The router is 192.168.1.1 the new modem will be 192.168.1.1 and Pfsense is 192.168.1.5 to be setup with my VPN etc. I have 24 static addresses to input.
The problem is to connect to the pfsense web page I have to connect to the Lan it seems pfsense takes over the routing.
Pfsense changes the gateway for my wireless access points and the wifi cannot access the web.
What I am asking, is there a way to setup Pfsense using the web interface without interaction with the Lan and then slot it into place with minimum downtime?
