A question about the optional WIFI adapter for the new SG-2220.

I see the SG-2220 is now available at the store.  There is an option to select a WIFI adapter described as "802.11a/b/g/n 2T2R with Two Antennas".

The "2T2R" in the description sounds promising,  but could someone confirm that the combination of the SG-2220 + this WIFI card + current pfSense does actually support use of both 2.4 and 5GHz radios simultaneously?  Or is it a case of either 2.4GHz or 5GHz but not both?

Are there any "gotchas" with this adapter that I should prepare for?

No. There are no adapters for X86/amd64 that do dual band simultaneously on 2.4 and 5ghz bands. You can use two wifi modules on supported devices.(Not SG2220)
This is not an operating system flaw. The devices only provide for one band or the other. Even in Linux. Only some of the DDWRT/OpenWRT supported devices provide simultaneous dual band if you research the issue..

2,4GHz or 5GHz only likes @Phishfry was explaining first.

Buy an external WLAN AP and connect him to the pfSense! It would bring you up to the latest standards
          and the best connectivity.
