New SG-5100 owner here -- are there any heat issues related to the passively cooled SG-5100? Can I stick the device in a rack in a 1U space without any additional cooling? Should I stick a mini-fan in the rack to blow some air on them?

This unit has no cooling fans inside, it just cools thru the metal case. So, don’t rack it next to any really hot gear. If it were me, I’d stick it bottom-of-rack, on a shelf and give it some breathing room. Maybe even a small fan, like you mentioned.
