Does anyone know how to limit bandwidth dynamically in PfSense using a script ?
      Is that possible ?

Dynamic Limiters are possible but that usually refers to dynamically created queues.

What exactly do you want to do?

@stephenw10 Thankyou ! What i want to do is to monitor bandwidth usage of a single user and dynamically limit his speed based on his behavior. Is it possible ?

Probably not in pfSense directly. What sort of trigger do you want to use to initiate this? What restriction do you want to set?

@stephenw10 Rather than limiting the bandwidth statically , Im looking to decrease it gradually depending on their bandwidth usage

Mmm, I'm not aware of any way to do that in pfSense.

One thing you can do is setup a bandwidth sharing scheme. That uses dynamic pipes to share whatever bandwidth is available equally between connected clients so that one client cannot use it all.
