    Hi,

We are getting the message "Unable to retrieve package info from https://packages.pfsense.org. Cached data will be used" from last four days.

DNS, Internet and reach ability is fine. We are facing the same with many installations.

    looking forward for your help.

    Thank You.

      packages.pfsense.org

Can you resolve packages.pfsense.org using the GUI : Diagnostics > DNS Lookup ?
If no, then you have the start of the answer ; pfSense can't resolve any more, review your DNS settings.

Edit : and where are the logs ??

@Gertjan - Thank you. The DNS is resolving perfectly. This is happening for past two days. Also this happening in many firewall and not in one firewall.

                That explains.

No one maintains packages for old versions. For example, pfSense is PHP 7.2 based these days.

                    Oh yes :

                    Updates are coming in weekly.

Be careful : only hard core experts should consider keeping old pfSense versions online.
It's like Windows XP, Vista and 7 development : it's done. They could be used, but don't ask for updates ;)

Again : update first your pfSense.
                        Then : look for packages.

                        Read again :

This means they do not exist (any more) on the package server.
Some one at Netgate probably pulled the plug after a two year announcement.

                          URL?

                            Don't know.

And bye bye the security if it would be possible to change the URL being used for updates.
