Debugging PXE booting

I have the DHCP Server service set up to allow remote booting and would like to know if there is any way to debug/monitor the process.

I have two TFTP servers on FreeNAS boxes and I've attempted to create the same directory structure on both.

on pfSense I have setup the same parameters for remote booting, ie

TFTP Server 192.168.1.2
Next Server 192.168.1.2
Default BIOS filename gpxelinux.0
Root path /mnt/nas/tftproot/pxe

This works with 192.168.1.2 but not with 192.168.1.3.

Is there any way to monitor the boot process, ie see which file is being requested from where?

If it goes through pfSense you could pcap it and see what's visible. But if not that's between the clients and the tftp server, check the logs there.

Not really familiar with pcap. Do you know a good tutorial? Also not sure what logging is available to the tftp server...

Gui looks outdated now but the principals are all the same. Not sure what potato converter was used from Fuze.

I would probably switch to tftp server that does log what's happening at least as a test.
