Hi so this is a very weird issue. not all of my services are shown in the widget. but when i click on it (Status>services), all of them are shown. i have tried restarting php-fpm and webConfigurator.
also, i prefer not to restart the whole system for this.a0b6fadb-9b8f-4520-8655-e6c25ca31c88-image.png

As you can see it wont show all of the services. perhaps this is some sort of a bug?

Are you running snort & suricata, you run one or the other not both.

iperf only shows if you run the server.

If you havent started up the services then the red X is correct.

perhaps this was a bug from their end?

Or if the service is still registered but the package itself is not in fact installed you can see things like that.

It can happen if you restore a config containing the packages but pfSense is not able to install them for example.

Just to share, I have been running both for a long time without any issue...Suricata inline mode with ET rules on WAN and Snort inline mode with VRT rules on LAN...as long as one is not running the same rule sets it's okay.

I really would not recommend that. Kinda surprised you have not seen issues TBH. In 2.5 I assume?

I agree with @stephenw10 that running Snort and Suricata on the same box is not wise. They can conflict with each other. There really is no logical reason to do such a thing.

Yes, in 2.5 however, I did the same in all the 2.4 versions without issues as well.

I know Bill; however, I am careful not to have conflicts by ensuring the same rule sets is not used. I really like both Suricata and Snort...they were what attracted me to pfSense. I don't advocate that others do this.

Well I guess if you're testing that others don't have to. 😉
