Due to my low bandwidth and constant need for apt repositories while developing, I mirror a debian and ubuntu repo on a high speed connection and then put it onto my dev network. I am moving from a pi-hole to pfsense using the DNS Resolver and pfBlockerNG.

My internal NAS is already hosting the mirrored sites and my pi-hole just overrides any requests to 2 FQDNs that I use for APT.

In my change over I have add the a domain override but it's not working.

When I run dig or nslookup I can confirm that the pfsense is answering but it's answering with the real domain.

Please let me know if I am setting the override incorrectly or if more logs are needed to assist.

      Thanks

Request that this thread be closed and deleted.

For some reason the examples I found online shows that domain overrides were needed for this and after more searching and testing, I now understand that Host Overrides are needed.

Additional question though, if I am tried to redirect ftp.us.debian.org do I put ftp in the host or ftp.us in the host?
