    rename admin still workin ?

        The easy way if you don't want to have the "admin" Account is to just disable it.

            You search about more security or what is the point?
            The BEST way if you would like to ask is to have one Management Interface, don't allow any access to pfSense WebGUI, SSH and so on for any other Interfaces like LAN, DMZ, ...

              That's been already done.

              It was a thought out of the blue if this "renaming" is possible or brings any other issues

              Disablin still works too but ist not as cool as renamin I think

              Btw
              I never ever liked usernames like admin or administrator
