Transparent failover gateway how?
-
Hi there,
Hope I can explain this clearly. I am not really experienced with network engineering much. I'll attach a diagram here for easy understanding.
So, there are two pfSense boxes in the LAN and they have public IP addresses each. I'd like to know if it's possible to make automatic Internet connection fail-over for PC on the LAN. Meaning that from the perspective of the PC, it doesn't need to change its default GW configuration at all.
If this is possible, could I please get help regarding how to do this or at least some documentations that I can have a read? Thanks very much.
Eoin

The documentation @Fehler21 posted should help you. Also read https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/highavailability/redundant-firewalls-upgrade-guide.html for upgrades.
