Hi, Had a crash during an upgrade and now i cannot fully boot to access the webconfigurator.

This is a Hyper-V VM and so i need to either use shell and get the config out or sftp/scp using winscp to retrieve my config xml file and re-install pfsense.

I have tried the various fsck repairs but still fails to boot, my only option now is to backup the config and start again.

I can boot single user and get to shell and mount / fine but stuck as it's a VM and so cannot backup to USB, help to get the config to the host win server 2019 OS?

      Otherwise...
I have created a new virtual netadapter and i can now access the VM using winscp but get connection refused for SFTP or SCP access, so need help either allowing access or enabling other root access means to get the config off

Been using usr: root and Pass: the admin password but gives connection refused

Any help with this appreciated, Thanks!

Managed to do it, merged snapshots, mounted in windows, used an EFS file explorer, found original config was 0bytes, used a backup recurring file, restored config - all back up :)
