I don't know where this fits best so I post it in gerneral.
Maybe a mod can move the thread to the right subforum.

Package downloads and updates have been slow on devices that use Deutsche Telekom as an ISP and have IPv6 configured. This is because pfSense always tries to connect via IPv6 first and has to wait for the timeout/fallback to retry with IPv4.

DTAG did not have the route to files01.netgate.com in their routing table.
I already reached out to them and they temporarily added it by hand.

Here is the thread (in german): https://telekomhilft.telekom.de/t5/Festnetz-Internet/Routing-IPv6-Netz-ueber-Telekom-nicht-erreichbar/m-p/4548781#M74526

Telekom said they do not accept your subnet because there is no route object for 2607:ee80:10::/48.
      See https://bgp.he.net/net/2607:ee80:10::/48#_irr

Could you please add an IRR record to your subnet?

The temporarily added route to your IPv6 network is deleted again.
Could you please reach out to Deutsche Telekom (AS3320)?
They said they contacted you but I don't know if they contacted Netgate or NYI.

@jimp @stephenw10 maybe one of you knows who to contact at netgate for this kind of issue.

This should be taken care of now, though I'm not sure how long the changes may take to propagate. Let us know if it doesn't improve.

Can confirm the creation of the route6 IRR record in ARIN database.

After a bit of back and forth with Telekom they said you have to create an IRR entry for the 2607:ee80:10::/48 subnet.

Here is a translation of what they said when I asked why their routing table still does not contain your subnet:

The network that was entered is an aggregate (/ 44). However, we filter on the exact prefix (/ 48).
This would have to be entered in the database.

Could you please add this entry?

                  Thank you for your help.
It seems like Telekom added the route today and it is working now.
