hey @mrdavekim call your IT gys they should hook you up with a VPN Client on your corporate machine to connect to their corporate network and their responsibility.

as @Gertjan mentioned pfS is a firewall not a provider ;)

Hey, my team had a very similar problem or need, whatever you want to call it. A while back my colleague asked on [spam] subreddit for information and one guy provided a few answers/solutions. not sure if its a sub-company or a separate project using [spam] publicity, but anyways they provided our whole team with static IP's, [spam link removed]. they are not really expensive, yet if you don't want to use this for your whole team (you are not the only one having this problem probably) just get a VPN and request for a static IP. In my case, probably you can guess which VPN I'm using.

@neuronwetsuit I can't seem to link' to their subreddit, but it is fairly easy to find. I would really suggest writting there if your workplace does not offer you a solution, which is what we experienced.

Thank you for your good reply but I got it. Now, it gives me static IP [spam-link-removed] to access company documents and data.

This whole thread looks like spam. You obviously don't need a static IP to work remotely. You definitely don't need any service from a commercial VPN provider. You connect directly to a corporate VPN server, which could be pfSense, and that can usually be from an IP.

I think most of commercial VPN providers would offer you a dedicated/static IP for extra charge.

Why would you want that though? Certainly not for remote working.

The only way to properly do this, if their IP HAS to be the same as their desktop, is for them to RDP onto their desktop over the VPN!
