      Netgate XG-7100, 32Go, pfsense 2.4.5, ntopng 3.8.2

      Hello,

I installed ntopng, kept the default settings and let it run on a network
with about 50 PCs. After about 24h it crashed my device with " filesystem full".
(thanks to this help forum I could solve it quite fast).

      Accordding to this page https://www.ntop.org/ntopng/ntopng-disk-requirements-for-timeseries-and-flows/
I expected 500K (RRD mode) per local host for 365 days.
      So I felt safe : 50*500KB = 25MB for 365 days, no problem.
I was so wrong, ntopng used 22Go in 24h and crashed my box !

Again, the article refer to 2000 local hosts for 3 months using 1Go altogether

Any ideas why, I my case 22GB in 24h for 50 local hosts ?

Anyway, I searched information on how to avoid filling up my disk space,
hoping to find a way to set a maximum disk space or something similar.
I found some settings for ntopng 4.0, but nothing for 3.8.2

I am very surprised because this must be a problem for every pfsense admin,
am I missing something ? any suggestions to use ntopng 3.8.2 disk space safely ?

      Thanks for all help

      Phil
