I have a bad habit of flashing smaller images to CF cards with the Nano images. Is it harmful to flash a 1 GB image onto a 4GB card?
I know it works as I do it alot in testing but does it mess with the disk controller or is it just 3GB of empty disk space? I have 16GB SSD in some of my laptops and try and save disk space by using the smaller image.
Keepers I write to removable storage(ie.release versions).

No, and can be better because of wear leveling.
