      after pkg update&upgrade :

      /status_services.php: The command '/usr/local/sbin/unbound -c /var/unbound/unbound.conf' returned exit code '1', the output was 'Shared object "libevent-2.1.so.7" not found, required by "unbound"'

        As said else where :
        Not enough info.

        pfSense version ?
        You cleaned the file system ? (see Netgate's last video on Youtube and CNN)
        Message on boot ?

        It's to early, but you could try something that has a guaranteed result :
        Something that works, but will not help to understand, and takes 10 minutes :
        Backup the config.
        re install pfSense.
        Assign LAN and WAN, make WAN work.
        Check that your router is routing.
        After checking everything, import your config backup (not before).
        Re check everything.
