You cleaned the file system ? (see Netgate's last video on Youtube and CNN)
Message on boot ?It's to early, but you could try something that has a guaranteed result :
Something that works, but will not help to understand, and takes 10 minutes :
Backup the config.
re install pfSense.
Assign LAN and WAN, make WAN work.
Check that your router is routing.
After checking everything, import your config backup (not before).
