Assign delegated prefix for virtual IP pools
-
Hello pfsense team,
So I have managed to request more than 1 /64 prefix and I can assign it to second LAN interface.
Is it possible to have similar option to track WAN interface for prefix delegation and assign one of the /64 prefixes dynamically to a vpn?At the minimum, can we have similar dhcpv6 option to set a range of IPs for vpn, with the first 64 bits tracking the the first LAN interface
Thanks

That isn't possible yet, though it's something we'd like to be able to do eventually. The DHCPv6 client doesn't support handing off delegating prefixes to anything except traditional interfaces currently.

for the time being, it'd be nice to have the first 64 bits tracking one of the LAN interfaces and the last 64 a user-definable range.
I think this is possible through some grepping while generating ipsec.conf with rightsourceip = <globally routable prefix> + <user-defined range>
I want to give clients IPv6 internet access and avoid NAT or manually defining the first 64 bits
