Package Installer doesn't complete installation after upgrade to 2.4.5-RELEASE-p1
-
After upgrading to 2.4.5-RELEASE-p1 (arm64) I noticed that some of my packages won't complete installation. For example, HAProxy.
I tried rebooting the SG-1100 and re-trying, but had no luck. The package seems to work, so I am not sure if something is hanging and not finalizing the setup.

I am having the same issue, were you able to get this resolved?

@dlaprade The package installs correctly, but incorrectly reports it not being complete.
I was told (off the support ticket) that this appears to be an open issue and that they are aware of it. It will likely be addressed in a future update.

If you restart the service (Status > Services) for the affected package, it should finish the rest of the process.

I upgraded my home installation and had this problem. I thought maybe it was just something goobered in my setup. However I've just upgraded one today from 2.4.4_p3 to 2.4.5-p1 and had the same problem. What I found on my home installation was that ntopng and status_traffic_totals seemed to be the hold up - the hanging behavior had repeated when I attempted to reinstall the ntopng package so assuming it may just have a bug I left it out for now. My second upgrade the ntopng did not exhibit problems and worked first time and status_traffic_totals was still left waiting to be re-installed. Just as a guess I'm wondering if there's something at the end of the ntopng package that may be causing a hold up. Next time I do a pfSense upgrade I will try to remember to pull the ntopng package off first to see if the upgrade goes smoothly.

Hi,
how to do this with a service not listed under services? I have the issue with squidGuard which tells me it has an upgrade. I click on upgrade but after the pfsense upgrade to latest stable version I do not have the service anymore and I do not have an entry in the "services" webUI menu.

I too am having this problem.
with 2.4.5-p1 I can't cleanly upgrade Squid or FRR, they just hang, even when left for 30+ minutes.
I've tried rebooting, uninstalling the packages (that mostly hangs too).
In the end I tried;
# pkg-static clean -ay; pkg-static install -fy pkg pfSense-repo pfSense-upgrade
and
# pkg-static upgrade -f
But, guess what, that hung also once it got to installing the packages.
