That's what I feared, unfortunately.

If possible, swap the power brick (do respect type of plug, tension and polarity, and the minimum number of amps).

Add a UPS in front of the power brick, and link the UPS to pfSense using a USB cable. With the NUT package you can set up pfSense to do a clean power down when the power fails.

The router is currently contained in a in-wall media closet with limited space (roughly a foot by a foot), and I was hoping to get some other indicators before going this path. Haven't found any UPSes that have played nicely, but high hopes on the unit coming in shortly.

Also, connect to the console, and execute some file checks. See manual for the how-to. pfSense is like a Mac or Windows PC : if the power stops like that, the file system could be messy. it should be cleaned.

Would this emit a log line then? If not, how about a setting?

I've seen various posts on the internet (#1, #2, #3, #4, #5) that indicate the temperature range still falls within "okay."

No, not necessarily. 65 is a lot and will put extra strains on critical components leading into permanent failure soon.
You don't know what exactly fails due to high temp, and logging such issues is often impossible without specialized hardware.
Open/remove the closet door, and see how the temperature drops.

As a fact anything over 50 is consider problematic, no matter what the specs say.

The SG-3100 measure the CPU Core temp directly, about 60-70°C it is normal, no worry about.
The Marvell Armada 38x max Temp is 115°C, have a look at the Hardware Specifications Point 9.1 Page 104:

It will be fixes bei 2.4.5p1, looks like it released shortly.

Not intense. Just crushing.
A couple of days ago, just this package brought a big, brand new system to a halt in a day or so ....

Hmm. Definitely not ideal.

I've put a UPS in between my router and the outlet, kept the packages the same, upgraded to 2.4.5-p1, and haven't suffered from any downtime. I'm going to chalk this issue up to intermittent power issues.

Open an issue with the TAC crew at https://go.netgate.com and they can help you with that. They can help you determine if it's a hardware problem, and if so, get that sorted out for you.

Just to confirm that is a completely normal value for the on-die sensor in the SG-3100.

I use a lot of PC Engines APU2D4 which has an AMD GX-412TC 1Ghz CPU, 4GB DDR3-1333 soldered memory, supports AES-NI, (3) I210 ethernet ports. These boxes run notoriously hot. The worst I've seen (hot environment) is it chugging along at 71C (159F?) with no problem. In a cool environment the box still runs at 50C.
