Trying to install ntopng, hangs at Writing configuration... done.
-
I have migrated my pfsense config from a dell optiplex 7010 desktop to a rackmountable r210 II, having imported my config and re-associated the interfaces for VLANs.
Everything has been working great with the exception that I'm unable to install ntopng, as it hangs indefinitely at "Writing configuration... done." and never gets added to the menus or properly loads.
Things I've tried.
Restarting the appliance and attempting again.
Terminating the package process then reinstalling the package.
Restarting the appliance, removing the package, any files or folders with "ntopng" in their name and then installing it again.
Removing the package from package manager, clearing up any files with "ntopng" in their name Installing the package from an ssh shell. The package installed this way but isn't visible anywhere in the GUI, even after restarting the appliance. Is there perhaps some sort of residual from my imported config that's interfering with the ntopng package installation?
Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!

Ok, got it to show up in the menu now and the http page actually loads.
I tried installing it again after the File System check, the package install pretty quickly failed althougn it now showed up as an installed package as well as in the diagnostics menu.. the http page nor settings menu actually loaded though.
I had to then kill pkg-static and force a reinstall of the package at which point it seems to be working? I'm in the process of configuring it now.
