pfsense on virtualbox

Hello
I want to run pfSense-CE-2.4.5-RELEASE-p1-amd64.iso on virtualbox 6.0.22. (VM: 4GB RAM, 16MB Video Memory, PAE/NX enabled )
The VM starts up but freezes on boot (see image below)

http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Boot_Troubleshooting did not solve the problem; at least I did not find the correct switch.

Any idea, what could go wrong?

choose VM type: BSD version: freeBSD-64. it should work

did you assign virtual NIC to you VM?

Yes. tried with 1 and 2 NIC's
no change; still hanging ...

@mmmmmmmm Problem solved. Updated to latest virtualbox version...
