Remove ETH8 from switch

hy i have a XG-7100 with 8 ETH ports.
i want to remove ETH8 from the switch ands use this port as an optional.
I know i have IX1 and IX0 but at the location we cannot use these connections.how can ik perorm this ?
If i go to Interfaces > Switch > Ports i can see the ports but i cant unasign it.Please advice me

To separate out Eth8 and use it like a discrete interface you need to add a new VLAN for, logg0.4092 for example, and then configure the switch to pass that. That is how Eth1 is configured separately from the other ports.

hy i have taken a other route ;) , create an internal route to do this.

hy @stephenw10 no i am good for now this solutions works as expected it is only a temp setup so we can prepare our network for a move to datacenter. Now we can replicate the network settings.
