SG-8860 vs newer appliances

I’m upgrading my sg-1100. I’m looking at 3100 and 5100. 5100 is future proof and has more power but the 3100 would also work. While looking around online, I found an sg-8860 for sale near where I live. It’s an older model that has been replaced by the 7100.
I’m looking for opinions of whether to consider the 8860 over newer appliances like the 3100 or 5100.
Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

The biggest consideration there is that all SG-8860s are now out of warranty.
I would personally not get one unless it was one of the later models or is very cheap!

That’s certainly one of my concerns. It would cost between the cost of the 3100 and 5100 so I thought it was a good deal.

It could look like a bad deal if you need to replace the board after a few months. They are not cheap!
