SG-1100 reinstall fails
-
It stopped working because of power cycles. I was sent the pfSense-netgate-SG-1100-recovery-2.4.5-RELEASE-p1-aarch64.img.gz file, which I used 7z to decompress. When I follow the reinstall instructions there is no "Are you sure you want to continue?" question. Below is what happens (single quotes added before ## to prevent large print). What can I do from here?
TIA, Fred

Try another usb thumb. And use Etcher to write the image if you're on Windows.

Thanks, but Etcher said: "Something went wrong. ... The writer process ended unexpectedly" This happened on all three of my usb drives. I have an IODD 2531, but it's apparently just for ISO files. (I also tried rufus on one usb, it too failed.)
Any particular suggestions for the new USB drive I'm about to order?
Thanks, Fred

Hmmm I think I used SanDisk 16 GB for all my Netgates without any problem, including the SG-1100.

You can also try Rufus to write the Image.

It's working, but I owe Rico two apologies.
#1: I forgot that controlled folder access was turned on. The SanDisk USB arrived and the Etcher formatting failed. <Forehead slap!> Controlled folder access! I allowed Etcher to write, and Etcher worked as it should. After that it was straightforward.
I've made the controlled folder access mistake before. But having the "known good" SanDisk USB made recognizing it easier.
#2: RTFM; I didn't fully read the email from Netgate support. If I had, Rico wouldn't have had to tell me to do what was in it.
Rico, thank you very much for the help,
Fred -
Glad you have it working now.
