      Hi,
      I am new to pfsense and would like to install it on my LEX 3I525D to be able to compare it to my SG105.
      I installed 2.4.5-p1 MEM Stick installer using Rufus 3.11 on various usb sticks. The problem is my LEX freezes the moment I plug in the usb stick. Plug it in and turn it on.. freeze. Turn it on, go to bios, plug it in... freeze. However installing any Sophos firmware created with Rufus works fine. I have no other way of installing but with a usb stick. Any ideas?

      Thanx, Jerry

        Hi,

        I suppose the LEX is 32bit (as far as Gugl told me) but actual pfsense is 64bit!

        Regards,

          @fireodo Don’t know where you got that from, but it’s a Atom 525 and that’s running my UTM in 64 Bit just fine.

            I've done a search after LEX 3I525D and one of the result say its a 32bit hardware ... sorry!

              @fireodo no problem.

              I got it running by installing on the notebook and putting the ssd back into the LEX (64Bit:-). As a windows user I didn’t know this was possible. But still I’d like to know why the LEX freezes.

                Perhaps some BIOS settings concerning the USB Ports where you plug in the stick ... just guessing.
