      hi,

      This is an interesting thing...
      maybe this problem is related with WhatsApp endpoint to endpoint encryption

      it is likely that this encryption is created differently for chat and voice calls

      if there is an OpenVPN problem(?), it cannot be used with a VPN provider either....

      we use WA through ExpressVPN (OpenVPN) and have no problem...

      it would be worthwhile to experiment with this issue and review the pfSense logs when this happens

        OK ... I will check pfSense log next time when I make a WA call and keep you posted.
        I am not using any VPN provider but have used OpenVPN that is built-in pfSense.

          yes, I understand 😉

          I only brought ExpVPN as a sample, because that system also uses OpenVPN, so probably the problem is not OpenVPN dependent

          if you feel like it please share your experience with us...

              I think the problem lies with your Whatsapp application. Try uninstalling and reinstalling, or try with another version of Whatsapp.
