2.2.5 to 2.2.6 Not Smooth Here

After more than 30 minutes of printing 25 rows of dots on the console, I decided to force an ACPI shutdown (power button). It booted fine and indicated 2.2.6, but is unable to download some url table aliases via https. Have to revert to http for a couple of them, but others still work fine with https. No change after a full fresh install and config restore.
Also no big deal but just an non functional observation. The console screen has lost a line between the interfaces and the menu list.
No packages.

Nothing related to the things you mentioned even changed between 2.2.5 and 2.2.6.
Try fetching URLs at the console, probably a cert error or something, that should output what the issue is.

Ideally, if something can't get working within some reasonable timeout, it should fail with a clear message.
