      I am running pfSense 2.4.5 and get native IPv6 from my ISP.

      I am trying to use only SLAAC for LAN IPv6 configuration. After disabling DHCPv6 and setting the router advertisements to be "unmanaged", clients are able to obtain IPv6 addresses, but are unable to reach outside the LAN. https://ipv6-test.com/ also reports that IPv6 is not supported. Enabling DHCPv6, even while keeping router advertisements "unmanaged", fixes the issue, though https://ipv6-test.com/ reports that SLAAC is not being used. After disabling DHCPv6 again, the issue appears to be fixed until reboot, with https://ipv6-test.com/ still reporting that SLAAC is not being used. Is there something I'm missing to enable a SLAAC only IPv6 network?

        It appears that adding a rule to allow all IPv6 ICMP on WAN also resolves the issue. Not entirely sure why this is not necessary when enabling DHCPv6.

          @carloabelli

          Unlike IPv4, ICMP is essential with IPv6. I have a rule on my WAN that allows all ICMP on both 4 & 6.

          I haven't lost my mind. It's around here...somewhere...
