packages for 2.2.16 version
-
I need to replace the old PC with version 2.2.16. Unfortunately, optional packages can no longer be installed. I used "bandwidthd", "apcupsd" and "OpenVPN client export utility". Is there a way to install them? Need to download from somewhere and install manually.

with version 2.2.16.
Hello Milan,
Itβs a firewall, ergo point as much or / as safe behind it as you handle updates....
So upgrading from these versions (very old) is not possible because there are package dependencies. This inattention may cause you to need to perform a brand new fresh installation and......the * .XML version of your settings may not work either.
Always keep your firewall up to date.

++++edit:
The Netgate, I note pls..... very cleverly, is why it does not allow you to download old versions.... and removed them (old versions) from the download servers, links, etc.... -
There was not 2.2.16, do you mean 2.2.6? That came out back in 2015..
Yeah its time to upgrade - maybe even the hardware.. Current is 2.4.5p1

Sorry for the mistake, I really meant version 2.2.6. I would like to stay with this version, the client is used to it. I only need the mentioned packages, if it is not possible, I will have to do without them.

dude its 5 years old... Its time to move on, its EOL, not supported... Has been for YEARS!!
Its not a freaking TV, that still gets a watchable picture - its your EDGE FIREWALL, you need to keep in current.

My guess would be they still are - you know, because they are use to it ;)

aye, I know...:-)
on 2.4.4-p3 I wouldn't have been surprised yet, but on 2.2.6
it is an IT suicide... -
Thank you very much for the "kick", I installed the current version, I have all the necessary packages in it and even the original config loaded without any problems. Thank you again for your time on my question.
