No pfSense upgrade and packages available
-
Hello
I have some issues with my netgate sg-1100. It indicates that there are is no upgrade of pfSense available and no packages to be downloaded.
This is the version of pfSense that I am running now:
2.4.4-RELEASE-p3 (arm64) built on Thu May 16 06:01:19 EDT 2019 FreeBSD 11.2-RELEASE-p10
Can someone help me?
Kind regards,
Stijn -

@jimp I do not have the possibility to select previous stable version. When executing
pkg-static clean -ay
I get this error.
pkg-static: Repository pfSense-core missing. 'pkg update' required pkg-static: No package database installed. Nothing to do!
So executing
pkg update
I get another error
Updating pfSense-core repository catalogue... pkg: Repository pfSense-core load error: access repo file(/var/db/pkg/repo-pfSense-core.sqlite) failed: No such file or directory 1085486128:error:14099044:SSL routines:ssl3_send_client_verify:internal error:/build/factory-crossbuild-244/pfSense/tmp/FreeBSD-src/crypto/openssl/ssl/s3_clnt.c:3266: Child process pid=30149 terminated abnormally: Segmentation fault

For that last error, we have had some reports of that happening due to a fairly rare race condition. If you power off (not reboot, actually unplug) and power back on it should reset the affected chip on the board.
We have a fix for that coming in the next release so it will be more robust in that regard.

I added a note about that to the troubleshooting page:

I could read that as "rip out the power and put it back.
Hummmm.Let's copy your detailed steps here :
- Navigate to Diagnostics > Halt System
- Click fa-stop-circle Halt
- Wait for the device to shut down. Monitor the console to ensure that the shutdown completes.
- Only now unplug the power adapter
- And plug the power adapter back in
