I have been getting a flaky connection for some time. Yesterday it dropped completely.
CenturyLink Tech was here, spent several hours getting it up. On a CenturyLink Modem. I tried to reconnect the Netgate router, but it will not connect. Everything is the same except the PPPoE password changed, so i changed it.
Still no connection. It works in the Centurylink modem but not the Netgate? With the same credentials? What am I missing?

@kiokoman it never had a van assignment that I am aware of. It worked before.

I am getting in the log a repeated cycle of reconnection attempts. I get
"PPPoE Error creating ng_pppoe node on pppoe:
PPPoE node for link is not initialized"

I've read on google that centurylink need vlan 201
are you sure that the cable is connected to the right interface? maybe try to delete the pppoe and reconfigure it

The problem is ongoing. The ONT has been replaced, but I cannot access the Internet through my router. I have verified that no vlan tag is necessary.
Right now there is anair freshener router from Centurylink in place giving me limited access, but my router refuses to connect.
Interestingly even when there is no cable in the Wan port there is a green arrow on the dashboard. Do I have a bad Netgate router?

It's working! for the first time in over a month! I was on the phone with Centurylink and tried it again and it worked!
