Lost WAN gateway arpresolve can't allocate llinfo for gwip on lagg0.4090

Hi all,
Just ran into this issue today. We just installed a Netgate XG7100 1U in our ISP's data center with our main infrastructure. Worked fine all weekend and then bam, lost all remote connectivity.
We have the WAN connected to port 1 on the internal switch of the XG7100. LAN is connected to one of the SFP+ ports. As far as I know we are connected directly to the ISP's switch fabric and are not going through a modem.
When the WAN is set to DHCP everything works great. We are assigned an address and the upstream gateway is 162.x.y.1.
When the WAN is set to a static IP and we set a static gateway the ISP can see our interface and MAC address fine. Gateway is statically set to 162.x.y.1. However, we have no connectivity. Cannot ping the gateway.
Logs show the following error repeatedly whenever we set the WAN to static now:
kernel arpresolve: can't allocate llinfo for 162.x.y.1 on lagg0.4090Tried re-booting the device. Tried disabling monitoring on the gateway.
We can run under a DHCP WAN for now but eventually we want to get to a static IP.
I am thinking about destroying the default LAN setup in the XG7100. We don't need it setup. Not sure if that is interfering or not.
Looked online, there are a couple articles that suggest taking the interface down and then up again and setting a static ARP entry (most likely candidate). Also another article that suggests ignoring DHCP addresses from an upstream modem. Will try the first one after hours tonight to see if that works.
