Absolute Noob here, and i KNOW that you've all been asked this before.. I've been running the latest version of pfsense for a while now.. i have all the bells and whistles installed (suricata included).

Seems like i'm being blocked from some websites.. it's weird. i can get to the sites, then once i'm there, the web pages stall out
becomes very problematic when trying to fill out health forms, etc..

I know there's a manual but it seems pretty lengthy when all i wanna do is allow certain specific domain names to pass through unobstructed.

      thanks in advance

Welcome! This is the classic pfsense post :)
We have all been there though when starting out. No one (I'm sure there is one person) sits and reads the book from end to end, but it does pay to read through sections which might apply.

To start, in general when posting try to give as much info as possible.
All the packages you have would be good to know.

You mentioned suricata and I can almost guarantee that is likely the source of your issues. But that may not be it, or there may be other things blocking traffic like pfBlockerNG-devel.

The very first thing I would suggest is to try the following test.

        • Stop suricata on the interface.
        • Then go to the Suricata Blocks tab and use the red "Clear" button to clear all the blocks (assuming suricata was running in Legacy mode).
        • Now try the same website's which were not working before.

I would also check everything here: https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/troubleshooting/website-access-issues.html

Your description could be an MTU issue.
