Copy setting from white box machine to official Netgate appliance

Currently I have Pfsense running virtualized on kvm (for fast reboots and OOB console) (CentOs) and old DELL Optiplex with a CPU I upgraded for crypto support and an Intel e1000 network card.
It has been working amazingly well, however I'm considering upgrading to a Netgate applince just for a cleaner setup with less power consumption and possible even better performance through hardware support for offloading and fast switching, etc.
What I'm wondering is, will I be able to back up my config from the current VM and then upload it to the new appliance and have it "just work"? This firewall has had a lot of configuration changes and packages installations etc, and is serving two site to site OpenVPN clients as well as a few road warriors, complex firewall rules and pfblocker_ng, etc, etc.
Also, which model do you recommend I purchase? WAN is stuck at 1G and I have no options for improving that. Portions of backend is 10G but that is handle at Layer2 outside of pfsense (without a gateway).

Yes you can Restore your Backup to different Hardware with no problem.
With 1 Gbps WAN, Site2Site OpenVPN, RW OpenVPN, pfBlocker, Complex Firewall Rules, ... I‘d definitely go for the SG-5100.-Rico

@inmanturbo you can create a ticket on https://go.netgate.com/ to ask for help converting the config

Reassign the Interfaces in the first boot should be fine?

It depends what you're importing into. The SG-5100 would be fine, import the config in the webgui and re-assign the interfaces there before rebooting. The XG-7100 requires some VLAN/LAGG/Switch config so imported files usually require some modification. We can do that for you though.
