HELP. One LAN port is indicated as no carrier
Hi, I am new to the pfsense.I run into an issue.
I have created a bridge so the 3 LAN ports can be in the same network. while the port2 and port 3 appear work, port1 indicated as no carrier.
In addition, I could ping the to pfsense from different device, but I am able to ping from one device to the other, even though at on the same network using the bridge.
any idea what might be the issue? thank you!

Does the port show link LEDs? Does whatever is connected to it show link?
It could be a bad port or bad cable. It could be the connected device is failing to negotiate a link speed.
If devices cannot ping across the bridge you have a firewall rule missing. Do you see blocked traffic in the firewall log?

thank you for the reply.
that port is connect to a workstation. and workstation is able to connect to the internet without problem. just not able to be pinged both direction.
In addition, I realized now that it is not just that workstation having an issue. I also have 2 workstations connected to my wireless access point. very strangely from A machine to B machine, I can ping, but from B->A, I am not. if this is firewall rule issue, can you shed some light how to check on them. I do have rule currently limited the bandwidth at the bridge level -
What do you have limiting the bandwidth? How are you applying that? Can we see screenshots?
Do you see blocked traffic in the firewall log?
If you are able to connect at all through that port then it must no longer be showing as 'no carrier' I assume?
