PfSense 2.2.6 interfaces not found
-
I have a 3-4 year old 64 bit pc. I installed pfsense with a cd and I used the quick and easy install. I took out the disk booted into pfsense and it said welcome to pfSense 2.2.6 and then it stoped at
Default interfaces not found – Running interface assignment option.

then it just sits there
I have a Intel EXPI9404PTL PRO 1000 PT Quad Port LP Gigabit PCIe 4-port IBM 39Y6138 nic install and if this is helpfully the green light that normal turns on when you plug in an Ethernet cord only turns on for the top port all the other lights on the other ports do not turn on.
is there a problem with my nic? I would appreciate any help you could give me some help. I am not a vary good network person but I am experienced with building computer and computer hardware. I attached an image of the screen that pfSense is displaying.

Either the card is bad or its chipset is not supported by FreeBSD 10.1. Google the supported NICs for FreeBSD 10.1 and see if yours is in the list:
https://www.freebsd.org/releases/10.1R/hardware.html
I took a quick look and I don't see your part number in there anywhere.

Are you really sure that you was taking the right 64Bit image?

right image was taken.I have a Intel EXPI9404PTL PRO 1000 PT Quad Port LP Gigabit PCIe 4-port IBM 39Y6138 nic install
For third party branded NICs likes yours from IBM please also be sure to flash the latest image on this NIC
that the compatibility to pfSense if given, if this might be not available from IBM you could try out to get it
from Intel, but this is on your own risk!!! Again you flash this on your own risk. -
I resolved my problem by ordering a new nic
