I'm in the process of building a DIY Pfsense box. While waiting on the rest of my parts to arrive I decided to make my installation media so all I needed to do was assemble the box and install. Ive tried the bootable flashdrive and disk both and have had no luck booting. When booting from the disk it hangs on the bootloader screen that lists the drives in the system, i let it sit for around 10 minutes and still nothing, when booting from USB  i get BTX halted,  keep in mind this isnt the system I want to run pf on, I just wanted to make sure my media is correct for when I do my install.
Using the latest 64bit version of Pfsense
      Current system as follows.

      Intel I7 6700k @ 4.2Ghz
Asus Maximus VIII Hero with latest bios
      16gb corsair LPX DDR4 ram
      2x Gigabyte GTX 970 (4gb each)
      Storage is all SSD
No disk drive, using a USB.

      Pfbox

      AMD fx6100 6 core @ 3.3GHz
      MSI 760GMA-P34
      8 GB DDR3 corsair Vengeance
      120GB SSD
Intel Pro Gigabit dual interface NIC

Try twiddling the AHCI options in your BIOS and see if that helps at all.

I ended up spinning up a VM to see if i could get it to run on there and it booted fine, not really sure why it wouldnt run on my main system. Hopefully it will run right away when the rest of the hardware comes that i plan to run it on. Thanks for the help!
