@ozlecz I’m running one (8core) for two years without issue. They work fine although are stupidly over powered. :)

Those will use the igb (1G) or ix (10G) drivers for the copper nics. No worries. Not sure about the SFP+, but I'd bet they are fully supported. You can look at the FreeBSD hardware compatibility list to be sure.
I have a 5018D-FN4T (which IS the XG-1541) that uses the Xeon D-1541, the D-2166NT or D-2146NT are in the next generation of the same processor line.
As stated, crazy overkill for all but the largest installations. I bought mine (from this business https://mitxpc.com/) as a VM host. Ended up repurposing it for pfSense. It's loud and power hungry.
I can run 2 iperf3 (128k) tests at full wire speed (4x1G), 2 clients (PC's) and 2 servers (NAS boxes) all routed and filtered (10+ rules) and the cpu doesn't tick above 4-5%. I can do the same with a single 10G test (2x10G) and the cpu doesn't tick above 10%. It's like having a nice multi-layer switch that does the vlan routing all in hardware (ASIC). Crazy for a home network...

SFP+ are supported by ix drivers too, they work fine also.
My only issue for such an overkill board is having to add an intel x710 card to add some multigig ports to connect 2.5gbps to my modem.
